Forest Homeschool Teacher
Wauhatchie School is seeking an enthusiastic Forest School Teacher to foster and facilitate curiosity and enthusiasm of homeschool children in an outdoor environment. Teaching this multi-age class in the forest includes observing and assessing class interests, planning and implementing learning activities that captivate and engage students, and creatively documenting experiences to showcase the progress of the students.
Multi-Grade Forest Teacher (Kindergarten & 1st)
Wauhatchie School is seeking three enthusiastic multi-grade (kindergarten and first) Forest Teachers to foster and facilitate the intellectual and social development of the children in an outdoor environment. Teaching this multi-grade class in the forest includes observing and assessing class interests, planning and implementing lessons that expand on current interests, and creatively documenting class lessons to showcase the progress of the students. Expectations for these teachers are: one teacher will be an expert on kindergarten curriculum, the second an expert on first grade curriculum, and the third an expert in a related field such as environmental science/ bushcraft skills, music and/or art.. Teachers will work together, utilizing planning time to create optimal lesson plans and learning environment.

Wauhatchie School is seeking two enthusiastic Preschool Forest Teachers to foster and facilitate the intellectual and social development of the children in an outdoor environment. Teaching this toddler and preschool class in the forest includes observing and assessing class interests, planning and implementing lessons and activities that expand on current interests, and creatively documenting class lessons to showcase the progress of the students. The three teachers for this multi-age (2-6) class will be hired with the expectation that one teacher will be an expert on child development and the other two, experts in related fields such as environmental science/ bushcraft skills, music and/or art. Teachers will work together to create an optimal learning environment for the students.
