Wauhatchie School Open Houses

Come to Reflection Riding and Arboretum Nature Center to see Wauhatchie School’s site and learn more about our program during an open house! Our open houses are led by Director, Jean Lomino, or Assistant Director, Megan Chaney, who will be happy to answer any questions that you may have regarding our program.

Directions: Our site is located at 400 Garden Road at the Humphreys House. You will enter the driving loop that leads to Humphreys House on the East side of the Reflection Riding’s Visitor’s Center. Please note that the driving loop is one way. Drive along the loop following the blue signs with white arrows. Turn left at the first intersection. Then you will drive straight through the second intersection and find the Humphreys House at the top of the hill, on the right. Look for our Wauhatchie logo under the Humphreys House Sign.


Forest School Admissions

If you feel that Wauhatchie School may be right for your child and would like to apply, please complete the application form and mail along with your $25 application fee. Once your application is received, you will receive an confirmation email that will also include information about scheduling a tour.


  1. After meeting each other at the school tour, the parents, teachers and children need to feel confident that Wauhatchie School is the right fit. Wauhatchie School will contact you within a week of your tour to answer any remaining questions and then either invite you to enroll or discuss any concerns that have arisen. If all spaces are full, you will receive an email to let you know that your child has been placed on a waiting list.

  2. Once you receive the official enrollment form, it will need to be completed and returned to Wauhatchie School as soon as possible, along with the non-refundable $100 deposit to hold your child’s space.

  3. Please attach your child's immunization record or a religious exemption form.

  4. Your child’s space in the class will be officially reserved as soon as this paperwork is turned in, and the deposit check clears.
